"Every time we've been here the food has been outstanding with matching service and atmosphere. Today, not so much. We came for a late lunch. We got the American burger and clam chowder. The burger was pretty good. The clam chowder was lukewarm and way too much pepper with more potatoes than anything else. If I wanted potato soup, I would have asked if it was offered, but I asked for clam chowder that has more than 5 baby clams in it & maybe 4 shreds of carrot, but nothing else. The peanuts, as always, were terrific! However, the service was less than good. Here was my issue: one of the worker's had her children there sitting at the bar. I don't have an issue with that but they were noisy & requiring the attention from the waitresses. Secondly, they were all standing around on their phones. Lastly, the staff was very loud & cursing dropping the "F" bomb every other word. Now, I don't have a problem with that, but in a public facility and being used by the staff, is completely inappropriate and unnecessary."

"Small eclectic place with old license plates all over the walls and ceilings, that is part of the Divine Dining group. Place was very busy when we got there but only had a short wait. People leave their signature/name/date everywhere. Food was great. Bacon Cheeseburger was amazing, and the huge onion rings were even better! Wife had a veggie burger with a pattie as thick as a regular handmade burger I had. Highly recommend."

"Great burgers. Love the onion rings. This place is small in size but big in taste. Never knew it was here till today. I'll definitely be back. It's like finding gold where no one else is looking. Love the atmosphere and all the state licenses plates as decor. Never went inside. It was too nice out so we sat on the porch. Picnic tables with umbrellas. Perfect setting. I got the colonial burger with fried egg. That's my type of burger. They've got a lot to choose from besides burgers. The appetizer was like a garlic cheese curd with marinara sauce. Wish I'd ate here more. Especially since it was walking distance from our room. Don't hesitate just go. You won't be disappointed. Our waitress was Kelly. Great server."

"Me & my husband enjoyed this spot. We didn't eat in though so I could get the full experience but I will say the food was actually good. I would come here again honestly off the atmosphere alone. The staff was friendly and quick to get our order and even takes the time to read back everything to make sure everything was right. They even gave us extra sauces in our bags and didn't forget anything. They are definitely worth stoping by if your in the Myrtle Beach area."

"We stopped by River City Cafe and loved it! There's a huge outdoor seating area with a fun beach vibe ... and don't forget to bring sharpie because you can write on the deck!. The staff was so friendly and attentive, gave great menu suggestions, and kept our drinks refilled the whole time. We ordered the cheese puffs (not pictured because we were too excited and dug in right away - SO good!), the Buffalo Chicken Burger, the Smashburger, and the Shoestring Burger. The portions are enormous and everything was delicious. For how much food you get, the prices are incredibly reasonable. We'll definitely be back!"

"River City Cafe did not disappoint. You can either sit inside or outside which was a great option. The food was so delicious. We highly suggest getting the blooming onion! Soooo good! The pricing is fair. The service is excellent. Raven is an amazing server. She accommodated our request when ordering which was extremely thoughtful of her. Highly recommended! "

"I came here on vacation looking for a great place to eat, saw the reviews and had to try. I wasn't disappointed, best burger and rings ive had in recent years. I git the Texas BBQ burger, w side of onion rings."
